“I have an amendment at the desk. The Acting CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: Page 137, after line 2, insert the following: (c) Report.--Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this section, the Secretary, acting through the Director of the United States Geological Survey, in consultation with the Secretary of Energy, shall submit to the appropriate committees of Congress a report that includes the following: (1) The current status of uranium deposits in the United States with respect to the amount and quality of uranium contained in such deposits. (2) A comparison of the United States to the rest of the world with respect to the amount and quality of uranium contained in uranium deposits. (3) Policy considerations, including potential challenges, of utilizing the uranium from the deposits described in paragraph (1). The Acting CHAIR.
