On the recordJune 24, 2014
Mr. President, just to remind the Senate, this judge and the next one--as was the previous one--were done by the Judicial Nominating Commission process that Senator Rubio and I use in order to take any kind of politics out of the selection of judges. It has worked very well for years, and this judge and the next one are part of that process. Thank you very much, Mr. President. I yield back all time. The PRESIDING OFFICER. Without objection, all time is yielded back. Under the previous order, the question is, Will the Senate advise and consent to the nomination of Carlos Eduardo Mendoza, of Florida, to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Florida?
