Mr. Chairman, I have an amendment at the desk. The CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: Page 3, line 7, strike ``and'' at the end of subparagraph (F). Page 3, line 9, strike the period and insert ``; and''. Page 3, after line 9, insert the following new subparagraph: ``(H) a Board member shall have no current grants or contracts from the Environmental Protection Agency and shall not apply for a grant or contract for 3 years following the end of that member's service on the Board.''. The CHAIR. Pursuant to House Resolution 138, the gentleman from West Virginia (Mr. McKinley) and a Member opposed each will control 5 minutes. The Chair recognizes the gentleman from West Virginia. Mr. McKINLEY. Mr. Chairman, this amendment is simple. It ensures that members of the Science Advisory Board do not receive grants from the EPA or enter into contracts with the EPA. Additionally, this amendment prohibits Science Advisory Board members from receiving EPA funds for 3 years after the individual is no longer a Board member.
