Also, his concern for small businesses fearing higher taxes is unwarranted, as taxes are, in fact, at historic lows; and in the Recovery Act, of the $288 billion in tax cuts, many of those went to our community businesses. He also cited the NFIB to claim that access to credit is not a serious problem, yet the NFIB's own data shows that only 40 percent of small business owners attempting to borrow last year had all of their credit needs met, and nearly one-quarter of would-be borrowers, 25 percent, had none of their credit needs met.…”
