Out of more than 100,000 schools nationwide, the Department of Education honored only 356 with the National Blue Ribbon Award this year. The National Blue Ribbon Award is given to schools with not only the highest test scores, but also those that have closed the achievement gap, ensuring that every single student can succeed.
