I have no additional speakers on this side, so I yield myself such time as I may consume for the purpose of closing. Mr. Speaker, I thank Mr. Smith for introducing this legislation. Thirty years since Tiananmen Square and Chinese authorities are still turning to violence and intimidation to crush dissent and attack basic freedoms. With this important legislation, we send a clear signal that the United States stands with the people of Hong Kong. Mr. Speaker, I hope all Members will join me in supporting the passage of this legislation, and I yield back the balance of my time. The SPEAKER pro tempore.
