It is rife with fraud, scams, and abuse.

I hope we can discuss today how undermining the SEC's mission by furloughing 90 percent of your staff will affect this country and your ability to protect our markets.

The only thing political is protecting the American public, which I think Members of both sides of the aisle will probably agree with.

And I just think that is part of our great democracy.
