I am an institutionalist. My initial thought was not to indict the former president out of concern of what how divisive it would be. But given what we have learned, I think that he probably has to be held accountable.

I think it`s all part of a piece in the sense that our democracy is under attack we have to understand how fragile our democracy is.
And unless we have the kind of courage that Alice Paul, Thomas Dorr exhibited in the past, in addition to the other people we mentioned in the book, we could lose our democracy.
