in order for the Justice Department to reduce its budget by the required amount, which represents approximately a 6 percent reduction in the Department's more than $27 billion budget, DoJ would have to cut the equivalent of more than 1,000 of the Federal agents whose job it is to keep Americans safe from crime and threats to the homeland.
Holder detailed the drastic cuts needed due to budget reductions.
