Thank you, Mr. Chairman. My only concern is, if these systems are really as old and presumably unreliable as is implied by this columnist, I really do wonder about cybersecurity and about investing in cybersecurity in such old systems only to have to reinvest it when the cloud comes.

In my long career representing D.C. residents in Congress, I have rarely seen a bill as unreasonable and patronizing to the more than 700,000 people who live in the nation’s capital as this one.
I have written to the Postal Service many times in recent years about issues in the District of Columbia, including mail being stolen, burned, or otherwise destroyed, lost, or not delivered.
Because there is no limit on how long personal information can be exploited, Congress must protect these federal employees and contractors in perpetuity.
