Throughout my career in Congress I’ve passionately defended home rule and DC’s right to govern itself.

As President, Mr. Trump failed to deliver on promises he made during his first term, leaving us with an economy in shambles.

I will use every tool at my disposal to stop these riders from becoming law, and I commit to reminding my fellow lawmakers across the aisle that D.C. residents deserve the same consideration as their own constituents at every opportunity.

I always love to make sure DC is treated the same as states.
