We have done the best we could for our veterans in speaking for this bill today. We remain open to assuring that the veterans participate in the funds that are about to come from the transportation and infrastructure bill. I yield back the balance of my time.

I am outraged at the number and scope of anti-D.C. home rule riders in the bill released today.
Our local police force should not be subject to federalization, an action that wouldn't be possible for any other police department in the country.
