In my long career representing D.C. residents in Congress, I have rarely seen a bill as unreasonable and patronizing to the more than 700,000 people who live in the nation’s capital as this one.

I have introduced the Ensure Full Participation in the Census Act, H.R. 7911, to prohibit the Census Bureau from asking questions on the Decennial Census about citizenship, nationality, or immigration status.

I think returning to a pre-Sackett regime would provide a uniform level of protection across the United States.
