Eleanor Holmes Norton: “So wait a minute. So we are going to count it from when?”

Mr. Speaker, today, I introduce the Federal Employee Short-Term Disability Insurance Act of 2026, which would make short-term disability insurance available to federal employees.

I’m gonna run. I don’t know why anybody would even ask me.

I believe this bill strikes the middle ground, while showing Congress' support for LGBTQ+ individuals.

I urge the FAA to do more to combat aviation noise and to engage more with affected communities on this matter.
