America has led the world in so many areas, but for lots of reasons historically we have failed to do what we have to do in Africa. America responded proudly in Kosovo and other places, in former Yugoslavia. But in Africa, 600,000 to 800,000 people in almost a blink of an eye were annihilated in Africa without any response. Maybe we were waiting for the colonial powers to take the lead as they have claimed they would take for so long. And maybe it was because we did not have a NATO and other assets to respond to. But we are running out of excuses.
