Overall, so long as we manage the transition appropriately, my friend and fellow Senator from Connecticut and I believe the new system will save hundreds of millions of dollars and also protect the identities of millions of Americans. First, this agreement will prevent another government shutdown; we cannot put the American people and the people in my State of Arizona through another government shutdown. And, second, the budget deal will go a long way in alleviating the devastating impact of sequestration on our military.…”
