The VA has an administrative and moral responsibility to respond, and I am disappointed that it has not done so.

I am deeply dissatisfied with the lack of action under existing authority to crack down on the predatory practices of for-profit schools.

I was appalled and stunned and surprised and grateful that this veteran is still alive.

I would also like a commitment that the VA protocol and practices will be reviewed so that, in fact, this incident can be a teaching moment.
