Long-term unemployment is devastating for someone’s financial security, future job opportunities, and overall wellbeing—and it can take a toll on our economy as well.

“After all those horrific deaths and public outcry, we were told DHS was going to change,” he said. “Again and again, those promises were proven false.”

There’s no excuse for this administration disobeying the law and withholding this funding.

This disaster declaration is a strong step toward bringing federal aid to Connecticut following severe floods last month.
