Americans have no interest in a Forever War.
Certainly, this mission was successful insofar as it extensively destroyed and perhaps severely damaged.
There's a reason the Constitution requires the president to seek congressional approval before initiating war.
It seems to me that someone dropped the ball here to let this person get released.
