Today marks an important—and long overdue—milestone as Melanie Cradle becomes the first Black woman ever to be confirmed to serve on the Connecticut Supreme Court.

For more than a decade, Judge Cradle has served our state’s courts with professionalism, impartiality, and integrity, and I am confident that she will continue this approach as she transitions to Connecticut’s highest court.

We are proud of the many farms we have in Connecticut that are growing healthy, nutritious food, connecting our state’s residents to food that is grown, raised, harvested, and prepared right here in our own neighborhoods.

I understand that this equipment is intended to keep our towns and roads safe—and that’s a good thing—but we must have clear policies in place regarding what is happening with this data, who has access to it, and how it can be used.
