If I may continue the stretch to link the two subject matters, baseball and campaign finance reform, may I say that unlike the Brooklyn Dodgers of old, those of us who support McCain-Feingold are not willing to wait until next year, and since McGwire and Sosa are setting the standard for doing what we thought was impossible, we hope they are an eye-opener for those who think adopting campaign finance reform is impossible for this Chamber this year. I make the comparison without wanting to set it too closely, but wouldn't it be great when this is over if we could refer to McCain-Feingold as the legislative equivalent of McGwire and Sosa?
