“Information assurance will be critical to the new Department of Homeland Security, and independent evaluations can be useful tools to improve the security of information systems. In fact, information assurance is critical to the entire Federal Government and deserves to be a key component in any cybersecurity strategy. I look forward to seeing this framework for independent software evaluation evolve and improve through processes like the National Information Assurance Partnership and the Common Criteria.”
