The main conclusions of the IPCC and the NRC--that is the National Academy of Sciences--reports remain robust consensus positions, supported by the vast majority of researchers in the fields of climate change and its impacts. The body of research carried out since the reports were issued tends to strengthen their conclusion, 1,010 scientists. We will probably hear it again, but they are relying on an analysis of a bill, because it is what was handed out, that is not even before the Senate. I argue to my friends, it is a waste of the Senate's time to argue statistics, as the Senator from Ohio just did, about a bill that is not before us.
