The suffering of the defenseless victims in Bosnia sounds louder to me, and I think to the sponsors of this amendment, than the possible expression of opposition by our allies in Europe. My hope is that they will decide to join us. Again, I say to my colleague, I have spoken to the Prime Minister of Bosnia, as many us have here, and the Vice President. They say, ``If you gave us a choice of whether to have the ability to receive arms to defend ourselves or to keep the British and French peacekeepers in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the choice for us is an easy one. We would say, ``Thank you,'' to the British and French peacekeepers, and wish them farewell, in order to receive the weapons with which to defend our families and our homes.
