It has mattered to me because there are two great American constitutional principles that are at the heart of the cause of D.C. statehood and that are violated every day in the current treatment of residents of the District of Columbia.

I think the reality of this threat to agricultural security has quite naturally now hit the people in the industry more than people outside.

I applaud the Chairman for bringing this issue. I think it is something that we should be talking about.
