I would guess that most Americans would share the opinion I have, which is that travel to the United States is a privilege not a right and that any association with terrorism should be enough to keep a foreign national from getting a visa to come into the United States.
Lieberman emphasizes that travel to the U.S. should be restricted for those linked to terrorism.

next year will be the 100th anniversary of the influenza outbreak of 1918. They estimate that at least 50 million and maybe as many as 100 million people died from that flu in 1 year globally.
That is just--you cannot do that because they have got to report early, and that is the way to stop it and really secure the agricultural sector of our economy.
I hope you Members of the Committee in this session will similarly rise to the challenge of this moment and this problem and work together to get something good and great done for our country.
