There are 2.7 million children in this country with a parent in prison, and most of them can't stay in contact because the cost of a single call is what you and I spend for our monthly plans. This is outrageous. We should be fixing it.

Thank you for providing full funding for the FCC in your fiscal year 2024 bill.
We are also implementing the Martha Wright-Reed Just and Reasonable Communications Act to ensure that the rates for prison pay phone calls are truly just and reasonable.
I have to hand that off to the Department of Justice, and I am sure they have got lots of other priorities.
Congress set aside funding for it but those funds are not sufficient to fully fund reimbursement.
