I am pleased to see the U.S. Small Business Administration approve federal assistance for parts of the Fifth District and our state.

The people of the Fifth District are looking for leaders to address the affordability crisis, cuts to healthcare, endless wars we are engaged in and so many other things.

I am pleased that federal funding will help make this a reality for more veterans and military families by expanding the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery.

We will not take away opportunity for so many children. We will not eliminate Pell grants and all the programs that help people from low-income communities to go to college.
