I did not like having to accept amendments from my friend from New Hampshire, Senator Gregg, and other amendments that we worked on to make this process reach the point it has today. I am still hopeful. I don't know how this vote will come out. But my plea would be, to those on either side of this question, to see if we can't find some common ground.”
