My point is this: Raising children in this country in affordable, decent circumstances is about as basic as it gets. Eight million Americans can benefit from this amendment. This is a good investment for our country. With a $750 billion tax break for 43,000 people, I think we ought to be able to do something for 8 million working families with young children. Thank you, Mr. President.
