I wish to commend our friend and colleague from Hawaii. I have had the privilege and pleasure of knowing Senator Akaka for a long time. He is consistent in his issue cluster, if you will. He obviously has issues to deal with in his State, but I have never known another individual who has been as dogged as the Senator from Hawaii has been about seeing to it that people get that clear, understandable information, the ability to learn more about their own financial activities, that literacy he has consistently talked about for such a long time. There are other accomplishments he has achieved. He is a wonderful member of our committee. He has made a significant contribution to this bill. This bill can bear his name on it as having contributed a major portion of the effort we are trying to achieve. I thank him for that. He may represent one State, but his language here affects every State and every person in it. That is a significant contribution. I thank the Senator for it.
