I am pleased to support the amendment offered by our colleague from Illinois. I would point out we have a very successful midnight basketball program in Bridgeport, CT. It has been very successful and has achieved many of the same results our colleague from Illinois has identified in her amendment. I think this is a fine addition to our proposal on safe schools and urge the adoption of that amendment.
