Reserving the right to object, just bear with me. As the Senator knows, the President set forth a policy to let States, such as Louisiana, take advantage of this opportunity--through the work of the insurance commissioner--to allow those individuals to stay on their plans. This bill would allow new plans to be offered that do not comply with the ACA--plans that would include the kind of discriminatory treatments that the ACA seeks to cure, such as higher costs for women than men and treatments that are discriminatory against individuals with preexisting conditions. For that reason, Madam President, I object. The PRESIDING OFFICER. Objection is heard.
