Through the Chair to my friend, it is important to remember that there is consensus in this body that those individuals shouldn't fly. There is nobody who has come to the floor of the Senate and has proposed a law that we should take all of these individuals who are on these watch lists and give them back the ability to fly; right? Nobody would propose that on the floor of the Senate because they would get tarred and feathered by their constituents if you came in and said: Everybody who has been investigated by the FBI who is on the terrorist watch list, we think that you are depriving them of their right, and so let them fly. No, no one would propose that. So if it is not controversial that individuals who have had intersections with law enforcement over terrorism are not permitted to fly, why is it so controversial that they should be stopped from buying a firearm, at least until they grieve the process and make it clear that they had no reason to be feared?
