Mr. President, reclaiming the floor, I thank the Senator for his comments. We are here for the explicit purpose of trying to bring this body together in a way that can advance both of these issues--stopping terrorists from being able to buy guns and them making sure that the law covers as many forms as possible to make sure that that prohibition is effective. The frustration for us is that we have had 6 months since we last debated that provision. If there were ways to come together, then we have had 6 months to find that common ground. I take the Senator's offer very sincerely, but my hope is that by taking the floor today and not moving on the CJS bill until we resolve these issues, we will provide the impetus for our sides to come together and find that common ground. I thank the Senator for his participation and his question. Mr. President, I yield to the Senator from Minnesota for a question without losing my right to the floor.
