I plan to see for myself the damage to American facilities, hear from our partners in the Gulf about how this war has hurt their security and their economies, and assess our regional counterterrorism efforts.

This should be unacceptable to every member of Congress—Republicans and Democrats—and this should be unacceptable to the American public.

We are not going to get a permanent end to this war without the Saudis' help. We're not going to get a Palestinian state without the Saudis’ help.

There's got to be space for political dialogue and speech here in Saudi Arabia.
