We shouldn't wait for their permission. We need to do this in the next 12 months. And so, while I would like them at the table, the last thing we should do is give them veto power.

This resolution is a chance for this body to end the war. And so we are pleading once again, maybe the 10th time that we've had a resolution like this, for our colleagues to join us.

I mean, that's an extraordinary story: an $8 million donation; two days later, a meeting of those donors with the president; an immediate phone call to the FDA to change the rules; four days later, the rules are changed; and four days…
