We’ve come a long way towards rebuilding western Connecticut’s infrastructure since those devastating 2024 floods, but we need to be proactive and prepare for when the next big storm hits.

To the extent that there was any glimmer left of political speech in Egypt, it is gone for one proximate reason: The United States government abandoned the people of Egypt and decided to remove all conditions on our funding.

This federal reimbursement will keep CTDOT’s heroic emergency repair work funded while making important upgrades possible.

Any hope of a true, meaningful political opposition rebirthing in Egypt has been shattered by this decision.
