I just looked at that chart quickly, but my understanding is the reason we raised the debt ceiling the last time is so we could pay the March 1 Social Security checks, which is billions and billions of dollars. That plan may look good on a chart, but I would say, in the name of all the Social Security recipients, it is not a good thing to even toy with. Forget the charts, raise the debt ceiling.
