The assistant legislative clerk read as follows: A resolution (S. Res. 598) expressing condolences to the family of Abdul-Rahman Peter Kassig and condemning the terrorist acts of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the resolution.
