Senators Jerry Moran and Mark Udall recently sent a letter to the Office of Management and Budget outlining areas where improvements can be made.

The royalties paid by coal companies--and energy development of all kinds on federal lands--provide critical support for local schools, roads and other services that Colorado families count on.

We are grateful to Senators Udall and Barrasso as well as the bipartisan co-sponsors of S. 2440.

I think Federal lands, which control so much of your State, are really critical, because those are vast rural areas that have virtually no coverage.
