I have watched with great admiration as the gentlewoman from Ohio has patiently explained to us and the American people much that we need to know... I was shocked to realize that they, too, were a part of this bailout. It was my understanding that the Bank of International Settlements was set up to help with International disputes. Again, Mr. DeFazio pointed out there is no national security problem here or no great national interest here. Where is the dispute? Can you help me out here? Can you help the American people out? So much is being skirted in terms of what our expectations should be in the way institutions function, as well as government. It seems that the institutions are functioning outside of government, and it is a frightening thing.
