Clearly, there's somewhere in the middle here where I think we all can come to an agreement that noncompetes may be appropriate in certain circumstances, but the way in which they're being abused in a variety of different industries and across the labor market in the aggregate is clearly not conducive to wage growth, nor in the public interest.
