I have great respect for my colleague from Arkansas. I know he has a deep experience in his field, I appreciate him on the Natural Resources Committee, and I enjoy serving with him on that committee. I would ask my distinguished colleague whether he would support the bill if we were to, say, amend the bill to give the Secretary unilateral power to do what the Secretary determines to be necessary for the control of fire and insects. Would the gentleman be amenable to that?
