So many of us have made unanimous consent requests. I have asked the gentleman from Alabama how many times we have to make this motion until the Republicans end their obstructionism. I have not received an adequate answer. I was hopeful that the gentleman from Alabama would have accepted this unanimous consent request by now. I was hopeful that the Chair would have posed a question to him multiple times, rather than accept his very first answer, now that the Democratic leaders and rank-and-file Members have all come forward in support of bringing forward this bill and breaking through the Republican obstructionism.
