I have an amendment at the desk. The Acting CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: Page 63, line 15, strike ``$1,261,000,000'' and insert ``$857,695,000''. Page 64, after line 2, insert the following new subsection: (c) Reduction.--Notwithstanding the amounts set forth in the funding tables in division D, the amount authorized to be appropriated in this section for the ground-based midcourse defense system, as specified in the corresponding funding table in division D, is hereby reduced by $403,305,000, with the amount of the reduction to be derived from Ballistic Missile Defense Midcourse Defense Segment, Line 080, East Coast site planning and development, and EIS work program, as set forth in the table under section 4201. The amount of such reduction shall not be available for any purpose other than deficit reduction. The Acting CHAIR.
