This bill doesn’t apply to any other context besides civil immigration enforcement — including rights violations in protests, elections, prisons, or the workplace.
The First Amendment does not tolerate the chilling or infringement of protected speech and the Fourth Amendment likely requires more than one report of a policy violation to trigger law enforcement searches and seizure.
I think it’s an important message we send out, that supports free speech in our country.
An education focus that’s important but often goes underrated is recognizing that learning doesn’t end at 3 p.m.
