I have an amendment at the desk. The Acting CHAIR. The Clerk will report the amendment. The Clerk read as follows: At the end of the bill, insert the following: Sec. __. Section 5309(a) of title 49, United States Code, is amended-- (1) in paragraph (3) by inserting ``or as merited by ridership demands'' after ``weekend days''; (2) in paragraph (4)(A) by inserting ``or includes performance features that otherwise ensure reliable travel times for public transportation operating in a separated right-of-way in a shared-use facility'' after ``peak periods''; and (3) in paragraph (4)(C)(iii) by inserting ``or as merited by ridership demands'' after ``weekend days''.
