I was told the gentleman from Washington shares a desire to address the broken immigration system. I know the chair of the Committee on Rules, Mr. Sessions, has indicated similarly. Just as I have posed to Mr. Sessions in the past, I would like to pose to the gentleman from Washington if he has a timeframe for when we can expect immigration legislation here on the floor of the House. I would be happy to yield to the gentleman from Washington to answer that. Well, sometimes silence speaks louder than words. I yield 3 minutes to the gentleman from Oregon (Mr. Blumenauer), a member of the Committee on Ways and Means.
