I am not yielding. I am asking the Chair to confirm that, in fact, his stated preference is still valid, and if he would ask the gentleman from Alabama if that is still the case. The SPEAKER pro tempore. It is still the Chair's understanding that the gentleman from Alabama will not yield for such a request. Therefore, the previous unanimous consent request cannot be entertained.
